For over thirty-eight years The Showroom, London has been committed to serving as a platform for emerging practices and ideas where collaboration, criticality and learning are integral to the production of unconventional art and discourse. Its ground- breaking approach fosters experimental practices and reflects upon everyday life through its engagement with the local community. The Showroom also advocates for international transdisciplinary forms of art and education, and remains a key agent bringing together projects around art, and social justice. Artists who have worked with The Showroom include Simnikiwe Buhlungu, Em’kal Eyongakpa, Theaster Gates, Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Mona Hatoum, Lungiswa Gqunta, Subodh Gupta, Sarah Lucas, Oscar Murillo, Ima-Abasi Okon, Uriel Orlow, The Otolith Group, Ciara Phillips, Pamela Phatsimo Sunstrum and Emma Wolukau-Wanambwa, amongst others.

The Curating Contemporary Art Masters at RCA has a commitment to collaborative group project-based work that integrates theory and practice. Their research-led and practice-led teaching by staff and visiting tutors ensures the curatorial and artistic significance, intellectual value and critical vitality of the programme. Required to undertake a graduate project with external high-profile partners as well as an independent research-based dissertation, focussing on wider social, political and economic contexts and an understanding of transnational contexts and issues of diversity and inclusion.
