Taught an average of thirty classes per week and individually responsible for over eighty students. Personally generated on average £8000 per month through renewal of students, with new sign ups contributing £4000. This made up 10-20% of the school’s monthly targets. The promotion of corporate materials generated another £1000 every half year. Classes included beginner to advanced level English, with modules such as grammar fundamentals, business English, colloquialisms and advanced discussion. Promoted to Head Foreign Teacher, taking on the additional tasks of training new teachers, overseeing their improvement, and assuring their students’ satisfaction. Worked at the front desk, welcomed students, answered the phone, and scheduled classes and meetings. Performed daily interviews of prospective students and Japanese staff, and counseled students in order to provide personalised course recommendations and conduct sales of lesson materials. Created several courses, including American Slang, Hospitality English for the 2020 Japan Olympic Games, Speed Reading and Book Club, and designed various textbook materials to be used in specialized courses.
Worked alongside journalist Jeff Weiss, researching for and transcribing interviews of Los Angeles music artists.
