I graduated from Falmouth University, BA Hons Film with a 2:2. I am a keen writer who is very detail oriented; my verbal and written communication skills are at a high level. I am confident on social media and am computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Premier Pro and other industry standard software. My degree has given me transferable skills in researching, editing, idea generation, content creation, networking, meeting deadlines and many other areas. I also have experience in the voluntary sector, having given my time to several charitable institutions.
During a 7 month volunteership with The Centre For Alternative Technology (CAT) I was a first point of contact for visitors, providing information and assistance about the site and the brand message of CAT. During my stay I also designed and completed a new visitor attraction: creating a thriving bug hotel complete with beautiful rooftop flower garden aimed at attracting pollinators to the garden whilst using clippings from the garden itself and using a former wire spool that would otherwise have gone to landfill. My volunteership also allowed me to save, sow and harvest organic fruit, veg and flower seeds, participate in the restoration of the site, prune on-site fruit trees and deliver fresh grown food from the garden to the on-site restaurant for visitors to eat.
Whilst working with Script To Screen Media (S2S Media) in my second year at university I assisted with the production of a series of music videos for new vocal artist Tessa Cavanna (Tiece). I created production photography for use on social media and websites, risk-assessment sheets for each shoot, purchased props, hired equipment, assisted set-up and liaised with members of the creative team.
Whilst volunteering with the Reading International Solidarity Centre (RISC) I was responsible for helping and interacting with visitors, checking stock, creating new and interesting book displays, taking bookings and managing the shop floor.
