About me
I'm a copywriter and proofreader who loves language, as well as something of a watersports fanatic and a traveller. I'm always happy to get involved in new projects, big or small, and really enjoy challenging myself through my work. I have extensive copywriting experience both on and offline, but that isn't my only skill. I've also developed content marketing strategies, worked on PR campaigns, and edited and proofread a wide range of online copy as well as printed marketing collateral.

  • Newsletter content for South Hand Crafted (SHC)
Newsletter content for South Hand Crafted (SHC)South Hand Crafted (SHC) is a company that's very focused on the environment. I've been writing content for their email newsletters, predominantly focusing on moving towards a zero-waste lifestyle. As this is something I've been doing in my own life, it's been great to have the opportunity to share some of my experiences with a wider audience. The aim of this content is to engage people with environmental issues and offer them tips on how to make simple lifestyle changes that can have an impact
  • Experience UX case studies and blogs
Experience UX case studies and blogsI worked with Experience UX to create some succinct case studies to include in their 'Client Credentials' document. • GP Management website content
GP Management website contentI worked with GP Management to develop the copy for their new website. The brief was to showcase the luxury and high-end experiences they can create for clients. The descriptions needed to be short but captivating. Because each event they organise is different, the content needed to give an overall sense of what they can offer without going into specifics. I crafted the content for each page, as well as short descriptions for the home page. I also wrote a number of case studies to provide more d
  • B-Town Youth Information, Advice & Guidance Pages
B-Town Youth Information, Advice & Guidance PagesI was asked to produce 22 information, advice and guidance pages for B-Town Youth, Bournemouth Council's youth project. This involved researching and writing all of the content on topics ranging from abuse and building resilience to divorce and homelessness. I was provided with a list of topics and asked to write each page for a reading age of 11 years old. The pages all feature an introduction and a Q&A section. I selected and formulated all of the questions, as well as researching and writing the answers. In addition to writing all the copy, I also provided a list of keywords/tags for each page and sourced appropriate external links to provide further advice and support to those reading these pages.
  • Be Your Own Fairy Godmother - an article for Open Sauce magazine

    SEO Copywriter
     - Full Time
My main project during my time here was the new Bournemouth University website, which was completely overhauled during the almost two years I was there. As well as creating a significant amount of content for the website, ranging from informational pages and FAQs to research case studies and interviews with students, I also helped project manage some stages within the wider project. Working on the BU website also gave me significant experience of working with the Drupal content management system and building pages using this CMS. In addition to my work on the website, I was heavily involved in writing the 2016 undergraduate prospectus, as well as proof reading various other university publications and marketing collateral for print and online.
