About me
Hi! I'm Katiuscia Cancedda by birth, an Italian published playwright, award-winning screenwriter, and emerging film director under the pseudonym of Katherine Luna Gate, and going by the name of Luna. I've been living in England since 1997 where I brought up two [very talented] daughters, Francesca and Eleonora, thanks to whom I mastered the skill of storytelling. I started writing poetry and short stories at the age of 12, have been journaling since the age of 15, failing to fulfill the dream of becoming a journalist. I define myself “a word collector”.
Although I have an aptitude for writing Drama and Thriller genres, I am also enjoying writing Comedy, but the themes remain the same: the Feminine, in all Its forms, and how we all relate to our Inner Child. I'd love to connect to UK-based filmmakers, directors and producers who, like me, are passionate about storytelling with such themes.

- My directorial debutOne of the highlights of my 2022 was directing the first ever short for the first ever film festival in my home town (on the hottest day of the year!) Working with the likes of Lobke van Eijk, Tony Gee, Jo Taylor, and the whole of the cast & crew, a bunch of incredibly creative people has kick-started something completely new to me that I never even considered doing before, and for which I will be forever grateful. Can't wait for what's more to come, folks.
