Please contact me for full portfolio of work. I am a confident, honest and creative individual. Coming from a creative background with a degree in Graphic Design, I really enjoy coming up with new ideas, trying them out and learning how to make an idea better. I have a hands on attitude work ethic that I think helps me learn but also gets me excited and fully involved in what I’m doing. I work efficiently in a team, as I have supervised my own team but I am also a strong individual that loves a personal challenge.
Campbell & Love is a luxury dessert company that caters for events. With my knowledge from working in the food sector and my skills as a designer, I create all visual aids for the company. This spans from business stationery to display graphics at food markets. Being a start up company I helped create the logo and overall look for the brand.
As a despatch co-ordinator I worked in the web team picking products from the shop floor, processing the orders for shipment and packing the order ready for post. While picking orders from the shop floor, I had to identify the products using the specific product code. As all our stock was on the shop floor. Helping as a shop assistant I had to assist customers as well as the shop assistants in busy periods. I helped on the shop floor in various departments such as scarves, fabrics and bathing products. When preparing orders for shipment, I scanned through the products on a PC and prepared and printed the correct labels for each product.
At Biscuiteers, I section leaded a group of 5-10 people on a daily basis. My responsibilities with this included, setting up my team for the day, solving problems and organising my teams work load efficiently. As a general kitchen supervisior, I looked after general kitchen issues such as cleaning and upkeep of the kitchen and making sure all orders leave that day for post in time. As well as these kitchen duties, I head the cake department of the kitchen. This means I was responsible for all cake orders on the day, stock taking cake ingredients, responding to bespoke cake briefs, helping other team members be trained in cake decorating, organising and ordering equipment, preparing and packing cake orders for post.
As a production and icing assistant at Biscuiteers, I created and iced bespoke handmade biscuits and chocolates. Key duties included: figuring out how many biscuits or chocolates are needed for each order, making and mixing the correct colours and following intricate designs. I also helped in the packaging production of the biscuits for shop orders and corporate orders for places such as Fortnum & Masons, Harrods and Selfridges. Being an assistant at Biscuiteers meant helping out on the shop floor, helping conduct icing parties and general helping all areas of the business.
I worked on creating ad mock ups, presentations and other internal pieces for the company. I also designed brochers, booklets and leaflets to promote and encourage companies to advertise with the company.
I created many internal graphics such as welcome packs, signage and press packs. On this placement, there was a key focus on food packaging such as contributing to building brands like Whitworths and Big Al’s by conducting store audits and helping with slogans. I art worked packaging for Energizer batteries. I also created a chocolate bar for Butlers chocolates in conjunction with a charity.
Designing various pieces for web. Including contributing to ideas and concepts for the Imperial College Hospital Charity re-branded website. I also art worked and created html e-mail letters for Pod.
I created and adjusted POS and in store graphics for the UK and Germany. This meant art working UK graphics to fit for Germany. I also created print materials such as weekend discount leaflets, press discount cards and CCTV stickers for in store.
Workshops: Advertising, Artist Book, Photography, Letterpress, Screen printing, Magazine Design, History of Art. Activities: While at Middlesex I covered projects from D&AD, YCN and RSA. As well as live briefs and projects set from the industry. I also had to complete various essays on history of art.
