Katie Ko is a Womenswear Designer based in London.
Examining the intersection between fashion and art, Ko begins by printing her drawings and paintings onto fabric, which then transforms into wearable art. She pushes the boundaries of fashion, textiles and fine art; employing various techniques in each piece of work, exploring the craftsmanship and extensive details behind couture through sustainable practices.
Ko grew up in Hong Kong, moved to London in 2018 to complete a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design from London College of Fashion and graduated BA (Hons) Fashion Design at Ravensbourne University.

- FuroreThe concept of originated from an emphasis on ‘radical thinking’; the adjective: radical, can be simply defined as rigorous change of the fundamental nature of something, creating innovative work out of the ordinary. ‘Thinking’ and ‘behaviour’ are intrinsically linked, although it can also be argued that thinking is a form of behaviour. - I had the opportunity to work directly with Michael Halpern throughout the design process for SS22; my
responsibilities included: design research, draping, developing embroideries and textures, pattern making
and creating toiles, attending fittings and sourcing fabrics
- I assisted in the photo and video shoot of the SS22 collection in collaboration with the Royal Ballet, where I
coordinated with the team to organised garments, accessories and models to ensure a smooth process
- Throughout this experience I developed skills in team work, communicating creative ideas, manufacturing
garments, developing samples and problem solving
