The annual show attracts 80,000+ visitors, and requires careful planning on many levels. As part of the BA Graphic Design Working Party, I helped to organise over 150 Graphic Design students, solving issues as they arose and ensuring the show build ran to schedule. As part of the budget team, I helped to ensure that the show came in well under budget. I was also responsible for proofreading all written communication.
I managed relationships with designers and liaised with industry to ensure playlists were curated and released on time. I conducted thorough research into possible collaborations and used my strong written communication skills and excellent attention to detail in my role as copywriter. I was also responsible for the playlist’s social media accounts and discussing the visual elements with the designer.
I was a team leader during this fundraising event involving 85 students. Leading the location team, I ensured that we scouted suitable spaces for the shop and organised sponsorship by reaching out to exciting companies. I also sourced display materials, contributed to curation and learnt how to effectively coordinate and satisfy a large number of stakeholders.
