About me
I am a designer with a curious mind, a strong work ethic, and a passion for effective, eye-catching and imaginative design. I am fascinated and excited by the design process and all its creative elements and therefore am committed to developing an exciting and successful career in the design industry. Over the past few years I have gained valuable experience and skills in different areas of design. This has helped me to appreciate the diversity of the industry and enhance my knowledge of design.
Projects
  • In Search of Dark Skies | Zine
In Search of Dark Skies | Zine In recent years the spectacular sight of the stars in our night sky has slowly disappeared from view. I created this zine, using my own photography and illustration, to raise awareness about the negative effects of artificial lighting and allow people to see the beauty of the night sky.
  • Marks & Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar | Packaging
Marks & Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar | Packaging The beauty advent calendar was a key PR driving product during the festive period at Marks & Spencer, aiming to excite customers and draw new customers into the beauty department. The concept for this project was ‘a gift in a gift’ and the disruptive design aimed to have visual impact in store, whilst allowing for a re-usable christmas decoration in the home. The product was extremely successful in driving sales and had a very positive response from beauty bloggers and press reviews.
  • Letterpress Experiment
Letterpress Experiment I wanted to combine what I learnt at a letterpress course with my interest in surface texture. I taught myself various techniques and created a way to successfully process letterpress type directly on to various surfaces using liquid light emulsion.
  • Margaret Dabbs | Visual Identity & Packaging
Margaret Dabbs | Visual Identity & Packaging I was inspired by reflexology and the pressure points in the foot when creating this initial concept for an exclusive packaging range for Margaret Dabbs, a leading foot care therapist, in collaboration with Marks & Spencer.
  • Sydney Festival | Print & Digital
Sydney Festival | Print & Digital Sydney Festival is one of Australia’s leading arts festivals. This role required me to work with brand guidelines to create various pieces of print and digital design. Designs I created included banners in the Sydney Opera House, artist passes, worn by everyone involved in the festival and publications which were distributed throughout the event.
  • Interactive Projection Mapping Experiment
Interactive Projection Mapping Experiment In partnership with another designer, Charlotte Temple, I experimented with the potential of motion graphics when applied to other surfaces through interactive projection mapping.

Work history
    Graphic Designer
    London, United KingdomFreelance
Marks & Spencer is a leading British multinational retailer. My current position at the company has enabled me to work on an array of projects across the design and marketing department. This has allowed me to create a range of creative solutions for the Marks and Spencer brand as well as a diverse range of unique sub-brands. An extensive project that I’ve been fortunate to work on has been the re-brand of Autograph Beauty. This role has improved my knowledge of branding with a commercial focus and advanced my skills in packaging design. It has also strengthened my ability to work collaboratively in a team.
