About me
Katie is a Glaswegian director, producer and artist based in London. Katie has recently graduated with a first class bachelors (hons) degree in visual communication at the University of the Arts London. Last year Katie made her debut as a director and produced two short films which have both screened at the London Design Festival and were nominated for awards in London and Berlin film festivals. Katie's practice is both collaborative and informed by a rigorous research base which combine the efforts of moving image, performance and sound to create immersive experience for both live and online audiences. In her early career Katie has worked in-house for production companies, been a part of important residencies, curated live events and interned for esteemed publications including the Dazed Cohort and photographer Miles Aldridge. Katie is currently working part time in a Darkroom and looking for full time employment in the film/media industries while she is working on launching her emergent platform NODE.TV alongside long term collaborator and partner Kat Collings.
