Award-winning creative designer and lead, with over a decade experience, specialising in editorial-led brand development and storytelling. I’m hands-on in conceptual creative development, art direction and execution, always putting curiosity and a human-centred approach to design and creative at the forefront of each project. My passion lies in distilling complex ideas into simple, beautiful and emotionally engaging creative solutions, working across a variety of industries and expertise, fuelling the potential in people, and collaborating and learning from others. I’m enjoying working on projects that purposefully help shape design and culture, and am a firm believer that an emotional response is the best indicator of truly great craft. Currently freelancing for agencies and creative studios such as McCann, Havas and Wednesday and design director at SheSays London, a global network helping women advance in the creative & tech industries. I was commissioned as design & art director in 2015 and tasked with a complete editorial redesign of the printed edition of PETRIe Magazine, aimed at aligning its strategic vision and visual language. Over three years I have created and led a design team of two remotely, increased brand awareness and readership numbers, and helped manifest PETRIe as an award-winning magazine, sold at recognised cultural institutions like Tate Modern, Frieze Art Fair and the Photographer’s Gallery. Each printed publication is accompanied by a social campaign rollout. PETRIe strives to tell diverse and representative stories and elevate non-mainstream voices. Established and emerging contributors give voice to often ignored topics, pushing the boundaries of journalistic genres, as they call for a deeper, more meaningful form of engaging with issues at hand. www.petrieinventory.com
