My responsibilities include; provide guidance by telephone to enquirers/applicants, responsible for the email system, collating paperwork, writing correspondences, communicating professionally with a wide range of audiences who are both internal and external to the university
This collaboration involved working with various disciplines to create an empathic re-design of the Ninewells Hospital Environment with a main focus on a cancer patient’s experience. For this we were able to work alongside staff and patients to look at what was currently available and what could improve the space.
In this role I volunteered as a mentor for Along Came Kirsty a community interest company in Dundee. This role is allowing me to guide young people in a workplace environment by providing support in a safe environment. Each week allowed me the opportunity to use the experience I have currently, whilst also learning new skills in PR, Marketing and administration.
This role allows me to act as a representative for the University to provide prospective students with an understanding of University life. This role varies from providing guided tours, escorting visitors, assisting with campus visits and greeting visitors. This experience means I interact with a wide variety of people and have to be prepared to answer all questions using my own personal knowledge of university life to ensure the University is well represented to potential future students with the addition of attending UCAS and school events with the Recruitment Team, and helping to deliver training.
