About me


I am a highly creative designer and communication specialist with 9 years experience in design, display, marketing, POS, visual merchandising, art direction and photoshoots. Working for a major high street retailers and an up and coming brand has made me a competent, commercially active professional with a diverse skill set and breadth of knowledge. I am keen to start the next chapter in my career. I place great value in the people that I work with and I consider good communication with them as essential to my role. I pride myself on my ability to connect with colleagues and I enjoy using my influencing skills to affect positive change.   • Working across Menswear, Womenswear and Timberland Factory Outlet to create and update communication tools for the key seasonal milestones meetings. Producing overviews displaying full collection and all colours offered along with margin and pricing – enabling each country to buy more effectively for their region. Creating Wovens Pack to show, fabric, buttons and shirt designs to use alongside the handlooms. Working across Design, Product Management and Production Development to capture all necessary information. Build and update a Virtual Store with mannequins to show the flow of the product in store by month, highlighting the Marketing Styles, colour story and key products for each drop. Create and develop new and improved communication tools for all departments, thinking about how to deliver information on both a global and regional scale - considering how the EU, North American and Asian markets differ from each other. Producing tools with forecast and then sell-in data from the season, which shows which styles and coloured were the most successful with the markets. Assisting the US team with the Field Guide, which is a key visual tool for the Franchise, Wholesale and Sales teams. Supplying regional information, checking photography and ensuring seasonal fabric stories are correct.

  • Field-based Visual Merchandiser responsible for 14 different stores in various locations throughout London and the UK. Acting as an ambassador, working with store managers and teams to provide support and coaching on all aspects of the Oliver Bonas brand. Contributing solutions that maximise sales and ensure optimum commercial layouts, which benefit both the customer and company requirements. Responsible for implementing new window concepts and developing material to communicate new visual merchandising directives including VM Handbooks, Linear Space Management, VM Handling and Floor-planning, Planograms, Feature Tables and Spaces. Work with Merchandising and Area Management to develop individual stock packages which reflect local market trends and are in line with current business priorities. Be aware of individual store PG statistics, stock package and customer. Responsible for Oliver Bonas achieving brand consistency through all UK stores – understanding store needs, layout and fixtures and customer flow. Work to achieve increase in gross sales turnover in stores following re-merchandising. Development and implementation of future merchandising plans in-store – Key Seasonal Holidays, Christmas and Summer and Winter Sale and work with the VM Team to open new stores across London and the UK.

  • Open and close store, create work-plan for the day – including targets to achieve, recent memos and store updates. Manage delivery – ensure all items correctly marked off and send discrepancies to warehouse. Send PGR statistics to area manager and visual merchandising team with figures on best-selling and worst-selling areas and how to improve this in store, taking in to consideration where areas are placed within store and how much attention they receive. Take lead on visual merchandising in store, ensure new products are placed appropriately, change windows, look at which stock has not sold as well and how best to change this and make it more visually appealing.   • Ahead of Sense Organics launch in the UK – Designed, created and setup all Tradeshow booths for Bubble, Playtime Paris and International Kids Show – Visual Merchandising, Graphics, Props and Mannequins. Created logo, artwork for back neck labels, side label, swing tags, bedding, packaging and associated products. Worked with designer Alexandra Mann as advisor on website, logos, labelling and literature. Other clients included Simon Pegg, Rory Dobner and Brand Focus Consulting.

  • Updated and improved wholesale catalogue, with better photography and more information so that the buyers could make better, more informed decisions. Spring collection buy up 300% on previous year. Managed all budgets across photography, marketing, graphics branding, catalogue, tradeshows, website, online and affiliate advertising. Designed and created all Tradeshow booths for Bubble, Playtime Paris and International Kids Show – Visual Merchandising, Graphics, Props and Mannequins. This also included photography invites, giveaway bags and linesheets. Worked with Merchandising Manager on how stock was selling, deciding what to promote on the website, how to place this visually, if an item was not selling how could it be improved. Created and drove the theme for photoshoots for the upcoming collections, including location, models, styling, props, theme etc. which would then be carried on to all seasonal Tradeshows and then on to the website and catalogue. Oversaw and directed all photoshoots and retouching, including lifestyle and product photography - flat clothing, beauty products and branded product for website, catalogue and trade DVDs. Project managed logo rebranding including associated products, labels and swing tags. Retail Marketing, including e-commerce, photography and catalogues. Worked closely with the Merchandising Manager to create dynamic and engaging email marketing alongside online creative - including homepage and CMS pages every week. Ran day to day product management on Website including all creative artwork, new product launches, look and feel of site and photography. Ran Social Media - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Built and increased brand awareness on Facebook and Twitter, significantly increasing likes on Facebook and gaining more followers on Twitter.

Attending the Visual Conference to show how showrooms should look (based on the Sales Meeting) and how to translate that to store. Project managing the Field Guide, which is a key visual tool for the Franchise, Wholesale and Sales teams. Managing production team for the look of the guide, managing photographer and stylist to ensure the clothes/photos look their best. Marking up photos for retouching Producing Visual Line Plans with sell-in data from the previous season, which shows which styles worked and using this, added with trend reports to create an initial design strategy for the forthcoming season. Producing a trend, mood and creative report highlighting the key design features from the current season mixed with accessories ideas to be given to the licensing teams for them to produce Timberland bags and accessories.

Producing the seasonal Look Books for both Jigsaw (Womens and Junior) and Kew attending the photoshoots, selecting pictures from contact sheets with the Creative Director, deciding layout of book, marking photographs for repro house, create book in Quark, send files to printers, approve all proofs and press pass job. This included sourcing the printers and negotiating all costs and timescales, selecting stock and confirming all colours and pantones. Collating all photos for catalogue and web, including Lifestyle and Flat Product Photography Working with Splendid to create Jigsaw and Kew e-commerce websites. Advising web building team of the look and feel of the websites, what features the sites should have, what the customer is looking for, ease of use, meta-tagging and search engine profiles. Working on stationery and launch material for the opening of Jigsaw’s first American store in LA, including postcards, business cards, window posters, decals and invites.
