Graphic Designer and Art Director with a BA (Hons) in Photography and Film. Lover of typography, publications and finding the unexpected. I like to strip ideas down to their bones before building them up again. I have been an avid fan of photography and design since being a teenager when I spent countless hours sheltering from the rain in Edinburgh's bookshops.

  Empty SpacesFive typographic panels, one screen print and a two-minute film, exploring Adrian Frutiger’s quote; “The empty spaces are the most important aspect of any typeface” As a limitation panels had to be generated by hand.

  BrutA photographic zine based on Glasgow’s Anderston Commercial Centre, a place that has held my interest for many years. The laser-cut cover should purposely deteriorate over time, much like the Centre did. The typography mixes modernism with the lyrics of The Blue Nile, as an ode to Glasgow itself. Photographs highlight the desolation and beauty that remains.

  A Life's WorkAn exploration into the life’s work of Swiss Typographer Adrian Frutiger. Breaking the idea that Swiss-type can’t be gritty by applying hand-generated techniques and Riso printing to produce a zine aimed at introducing his work to new audiences outwith the design world.
