About me
I am lifelong photographer and still passionate about taking outstanding photographs whatever the brief. I have worked for many blue chip companies and been published in numerous magazines and newspapers. I have photographed many celebrities and was also the Royal Rota Host Photographer for HRH Prince Charles at St James Palace. I left collage in 1989 and started work as a cruise ship photographer. I worked long hours (sometimes 20 in a day) and learnt to work very quickly. Photographing 600 people having diner or meeting the Captain plus many other types of shots was usual. I even had to do a group shot of all 600 people once. After that I was one of the founders of the Lemonade Factory Photographic studio. I helped kit the studio out and also helped with the day to day running of it. I mainly shot portraits there starting off photographing Ringo Starr I went on to photograph many celebrities in one to one sessions. I even got to photograph one of my heroes David Gilmour from Pink Floyd and I also photographed Victoria Wood, Chris Tarrant, Michael Palin, David Bellamy and more I still photograph some celebrities. Lately I had to do the stills for Davina McCall and also some social media content for Hollyoaks (Domino’s Pizza) and TOWIE (Visa contactless). I started working just for the Princes Trust but went on to work for Prince Charles' other 2 charities, Business in The Community and Foundation for Integrated Medicine. This led to me being the Royal Rota Host Photographer at St James's Palace. It was a very high pressure job as usually I was the only photographer at some of his events and being before digital you had to make sure you got the photographs that were needed. Then in 2001 I opened the first of 3 studios I owned in East Dulwich because of the increasing amount of work I was getting from Archant Media. I ended up shooting a lot of their products such as shoes, clothes and sunglasses etc. plus various portraits as well. We moved studios twice because we were getting busier and needed to entertain larger groups to photograph and also the clients &, hair and makeup people. As well as the studio work Archant also booked me to shoot numerous covers and a lot of editorial features. I have also been an active photographer at the House of Lords and House of Commons. The 2 websites www.shotbythesheriff.co.uk and www.photography-people.co.uk/ only show some of what I have done in the last 29 years. On top of that I shot a travel brochure over 3 months in India and also owned a photographic business with 14 employees at 2 top London tourist attractions. Plus lots and lots more. I love a challenge and am a real team player. I’ve used Photoshop and Photo Mechanic for years and have all pro Nikon kit.

Classical but electric quartet girl band called BlayzeFun idea for a Quartet called Blayze. I layered a photo of flames on a silhouetted photo of them just to see what it would look like. A proper graphic designer would have made it look better but I like the idea.
