BURN Battle School is a concept created for BURN Energy Drink. It encapsulated all elements of HIP HOP Culture. This consisted of 2 branded 6K capacity sized events in both Poland (Krakow) and Russia (Moscow). Featuring BUSTA Rhymes, Grandmaster Flash, international graffiti artists and b-boys. I led this activation for Monster and in turn was responsible for budget management, agency/third party communication management, website development, communication to 27 markets across EMEA, product and consumer liaison, brand and décor management, talent management, event programming, promotion, design and production of branded product, ticketing and accreditation, design and creative management, content creation, event production, travel/visa logistics. The 2 events ran just 6 weeks apart, and resulted in a reach of 90 million.
Ventra Media Groups is a digital media company based in Lagos, Nigeria and London, UK. Through DSTV they were employed to launch Africa Magic Go. Africa Magic On Demand is an Afrocentric subscription and transactional/pay-per-view video on demand service aimed at the African diaspora in the UK and USA. It is a culmination of African movies, series, documentaries, music videos, entertainment and sports. It is the video hub of all things African, delivered at your convenience anywhere and everywhere. I was brought on as a consultant to create and manage a guerilla/social media style marketing strategy to create awareness about this product amongst the diaspora in London. The strategy created was also mirrored in the USA. This was implemented in various stages over a number of months.

In the space of four years I facilitated and developed projects for Emmanuel to enhance and further his career, and in doing so, created and implemented partnerships with over 100 people from various companies and organisations including; The UN, BBC, MTV, CNN, TED, 46664, Warner/Pathe, Warner Bros, Oxfam, Unicef, Clinton Global Initiative, British Council, Ericsson, The World Bank, Greater Talent Network, CAIPIRINHA Films, 18th Street Films, CAA, Amnesty International, Porchlight Entertainment, Little Brown, St Martin’s Press, Mulcahy and Conway, Zain (now Airtel). Key responsibilities included; Contract negotiation, finance facilitation, logistics and travel management, development strategising, negotiation of musical sync and license agreements, brand development, PR, social media management, artist profile development, publishing, account and budget management, administration, business development, marketing, music video production, immigration (including visa applications) management, global tour management for Emmanuel and his band. Key Events and Projects; International release of ‘War Child’, the autobiography, album and documentary film. 46664 – Nelson Mandela’s 90th Birthday Concert Celebration, Hyde Park, London, UK and Radio City Music Hall, NYC. TED Global – Oxford Playhouse, Oxford, UK. Alicia Keys KCA, Black Ball – St James Church, London and Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC. Africa United – Warner/Pathe. UN Day Concert – General Assembly Hall, United Nations, NYC. We Want Peace Video – Feat: Emmanuel Jal, Alicia Keys, George Clooney, Peter Gabriel and The Elders. I produced the video and was responsible for securing the appearance of all featured artists. Photography; I documented and catalogued my time working with Emmanuel Jal. My work has been published in WarChild (autobiography published in various languages), Italian Vanity Fair, Elle Magazine, featured on CNN, SKY News and continues to pop up on numerous other websites and blogs. My work with Emmanuel Jal required me to work abroad and took me to destinations such as; Kenya, USA (30 States), Uganda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Chad, Tanzania, China, Canada, Mexico, Cambodia, Cameroun, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland and Dominican Republic.
I was instrumental in developing Dynamo’s brand, and was responsible to a significant amount of the exposure he received early on in his career. At this time, as well as the many bookings I facilitated and accompanied him to, we produced a program for Channel Four and a feature length DVD for Warner Bros. During these projects, I fulfilled the role of Associate Producer and Music Supervisor. Facilitating all logistics for our team, including international travel, selecting music and approaching artists personally for their collaboration, I was also responsible for creating filming opportunities with A-List celebrities including; Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow. Global tour management and PR were an integral part of my role.
