About me

I am a graduate from Winchester University where I acquired a degree in Creative Writing. Driven by the desire to implement skills gained throughout my education, I wish to challenge myself within the creative world. I find myself to be a social individual who enjoys a vast spectrum of entertainment such as film, literature and gaming. I often use personal time to craft my own narratives through writing scripts and stories. My interests are both broad and numerous. I believe myself to be a cultural and open-minded individual, willing to listen to the opinions of others but also trusting my own instincts. I love film and the dissection of the various devices used to create it as a whole. I feel they inspire our own creativity and I find gaming to be absorbing and relentlessly fun and can often find myself losing track of time as I become engrossed within their narratives. I often visit galleries and museums and have recently begun to visit English heritage sites as a sense of this country’s history has always intrigued me.

  • I currently work within the Tax Department of my local Council. My position entails interacting with numerous customers in regards to their council tax and housing benefits. Due to the queries at hand, conversations can be quite delicate and I have learned to specifically tailor my communication skills to individuals and meet the high standards of customer care expected by my council. We are advised to aim for over a thousand contacts a month so organisation and time management is essential in this position. As time is not afforded as a luxury we have to be efficient when editing our conversations with customers. Key details are essential but must flow and present themselves coherently if further discussions are held with customers.
