Launched in February 2007, Monocle is a premium media brand focusing on global affairs, business, culture and design. In addition to the 10 issues of Monocle published a year, there are two annual publications, seven shops, cafes in Tokyo and London, a round-the-clock radio and a website. Managing the planning, coordination and promotion of 60 events per year around the world, from conferences and fairs to cocktail receptions, ranging from 40 to 4000 participants. - Developing and executing strategic integrated marketing campaigns for each event, using all relevant channels: mail, email, digital, PR, advertising. - Prospecting and negotiating with clients, sponsors and suppliers across the globe. - Developing media/commercial partnerships and generating new business opportunities. - Producing weekly post-campaign effectiveness reports, and making recommendations to drive improvement and achieve revenue targets. - Monitoring budgets, providing detailed forecasts to feed into the budget setting process. - Project managing the implementation of a global CRM system for the company.
Developing and managing 35 high-level corporate events per year in the UK, ranging from 30 to 400 attendees, from award ceremonies and gala dinners to networking events. - Liaising with clients including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Airbus, Easyjet, Renault, HSBC, Total, Axa, Vinci, Royal Opera House, Tate. - Cultivating and expanding PR, sponsorship sales & partnership development. - Working with partners, sponsors and suppliers to ensure events are fully scoped and delivered to specification and deadlines. - Implementing marketing across multiple channels: print, digital & social media. - Thinking creatively to deliver innovative strategies under time and resource constraints.
