  Austin A35 HeadContinuation into exploring the possibilities of pragmatic and instructional imagery. 'A Poorly Tale' was formulated from the imagery found on page 34 of a 1959 Austin 'A45 Models' driver's handbook.
• The Unfortunate Life of MaryAnother project looking at how the pragmatic imagery found in instruction manuals can be altered to garner different readings and interpretations, simply by rotating and moving elements. These images were part of a five-book project that explored the particularly unfortunate life of a young girl called Mary. All the imagery used could originally be found on a single page of a 1942 British Red Cross 'Hygiene and Sanitation' manual. The images are part of a collection of 20, and as well as illustrating the teenage years of Mary, they are also an exploration into how a relatively minor addition to an image, can significantly alter the way it is read and interpreted. The first image of the series had a single 'D' shape added to Mary's face, and I then added an additional 'D' shape to her face on each page, until I reached 20 'D' shapes, with each additional 'D' shape creating a different reading.

• Instruction Manual ExperimentationPersonal project exploring the possibilities of imagery that is often perceived as being purely pragmatic and functional in purpose. How can the imagery found in an instruction manual be manipulated in order to evoke alternate readings and interpretations?
• The Working ManA selection of collages from a series exploring the idea of the working male, from the busy office worker who thrives on the adrenaline rush, to the stressed and unhappy worker who feels he is living a dual life.

Worked within a partnership to assist a group of young adults involved in the National Citizen Service programme. Role involved taking the individuals on a four-day residential trip, and providing mentoring and assistance to help the team create an event that aids their local community.

Participated in the production and design of the stage settings and interactive art displays. Worked as part of a team to create original stage designs and art works that varied from creating a ten-foot mural of a dairy cow, to creating palm trees from tent supports.
