I’m Kim, a London-based Creative Designer with an Architecture BA degree who has now gained experience as an Architectural Designer Assistant. I am highly interested in using my skills towards a role requiring creative direction. I am driven by the process of turning initial sketches into worked up drawings that are eventually modelled or tested, and brought to life. With experience in the architectural world, I have a diverse passion for all ends of the creative spectrum, including art, fashion, photography and design. Following my work at two architecture firms, I am still happily open to many other departments of the design world, and am particularly interested in integrating global communications, marketing and social media as well as fashion within my design work. I thoroughly enjoy working alone or within a team, and fully believe communication skills are important in the working world to drive a team or company to success, something which I have experienced in all my working environments.Locked Pro Plan feature
I have worked on numerous design projects at Moreno:Masey as an Architectural Assistant for luxury, high residential properties with sites located in West London. My role has included liaising with clients and contractors and other sectors of the design team. Internally, I have worked closesly with Project Managers and taken direction from senior members of the team. One of my main projects has consisted of redesigning two floors of a private house to suit the client’s requirements and working closesly with the Interior Designer. Other projects have consisted of designing new-build homes as well as renovation projects.
During my Architecture degree, I worked as an Editorial Assistant for OSA Magazine. This is a magazine used as a platform for sharing ideas, thoughts and exciting agendas where the content is created by Architecture students for Architecture students at Oxford Brookes University. The role consisted of proof reading and editing any submissions that were made by the students, and working with the team to prepare the magazine for publishing.
I began working at HUB Architects to continue my study of Architecture, working here as an Architectural Assistant. Throughout my time at HUB, I have worked on projects in and around London, including areas such as Notting Hill and Wimbledon. Generally, projects I have worked on have been a mix of high residential private homes, and commercial, designing both internal areas and externally. It is here where I learnt to use Vectorworks, and developed my skills in using Photoshop to create illustrations for the company website.
