About me

My name is Kim and I am currently an aspiring Photographer in my 2nd year studying BA(Hons) Photography at Norwich University of the Arts. I believe I am a hard worker and am very passionate about the work I create and am creating currently. I am friendly and will always try my best with everything I do. I believe that you only get what you put in and I always put in my all into all of my work and I am willing to work hard for what I want. I will work as many hours as needed and I have my own vehicle so am able to commute wherever I am required. My main interest in Photography is black and white high contrast images. I have done colour work previously and have enjoyed it and am open to do colour work more, however my work at the moment is focused on black and white images. My main influences include Robert Mapplethorpe, Nan Goldin, Bill Brandt and Ernestine Ruben. I am also interested in fashion photography and would like to one day get to work in that area more.

• How Do I Look?This is a project which I am currently working on. I am looking at body image and how people are perceived in the media and by others around them. I have stuck to my black and white, high contrast style and this has resulted in some photographs which I am very happy with.
• BodiesThis project was part of my Year 1 Exhibition at University. I was looking at body image as this is one of my main focuses in my work. I worked in black and white and created high contrast images which fitted my style.
