After receiving her university diploma of economics and business management
at the University of Frankfurt, Kimberly Lloyd opened her own consultancy
and design office in 2001. Today she works both in Germany and England
as founder of Lloyd and Associates, collaborating as a consultant and
Creative Director. Lloyd and Associates was initiated as an agency
driven by intelligent resourcing, commercial creativity and exceptional
branding experiences – always aiming to develop products, commodities
and environments within a coherent multidisciplinary approach through
experimental marketing, branded content and interactive communications.
The branding portfolio showcases an eclectic collection of international
lifestyle clients and culture companies, ranging from fashion to technical
accessories through different multi-disciplinary methods, for clients such
as Strenesse, Adidas, Chanel, Corbis, Lee Jeans, Motorola, American Apparel,
Mattel, BMW, Nike and others.
When it comes to publishing, Kimberly Lloyd co-founded M Publication. This
collectible magazine won numerous awards for its distinguished use of
design, typography and innovation in printing and finishing techniques,
becoming the common parlance of the international artists’ society.
Kimberly Lloyd co-curated the festival: CMYK – International Independent
Magazine Culture Festival for the City of Barcelona, an event for which
Lloyd selected around 350 magazines, 50 German designers and magazine
publishers, exhibited over 30 shows and co-hosted around 15 roundtable
discussions alongside Tyler Brûlé on art, design and magazine culture.
Today, Lloyd has established Qompendium Print Publication – a benchmark for
independent magazine publishing.
In Autumn of 2013, Qompendium Work Shop, an art concept store and a
consequent extension to Qompendium Print Publication was created in
Wiesbaden, with other satellites in Germany.
Lloyd works together with diverse galleries, art fairs, museums and
commercial brands to consult on strategy to final product, from pop up
stores and to consumer based experiences on diverse platforms.
