About me
Hello, I'm Kirstin, I live in London - originally from the Faroe Islands. I am working as a freelance graphic designer creating album artwork, illustrations, posters and books. I am familiar with coding and html. I am more than happy to take on any challenge.
Projects
  • Vinti Andrews collections
Vinti Andrews collectionsVinti Andrews is a fashion brand formed by Vinti Tan and Paul Andrews. Their approach is playful and inspired by the depths of London's subculture. Their productions have caught interest by individuals such as Bjork and Prodigy. Since 2013 I have been helping them out with graphics which have been printed or embroidered onto the garments as well as made into patches.
  • Energiography
EnergiographyThis was a psychogeography project I did traveling through London recording sound and image. I was looking at energy sources in specific mapped areas in London. The map was translated into an illustration which I screen printed on the book cover. The project had a playful approach and consists of a book, typologies and an moving image piece.

I helped them design the book and followed the production to print. The book is published by Christoph Merian Verlag and Swiss Architecture Museum, 2014. TRANSLATIONS by Florian Beigel and Philip Christou published by Christoph Merian Verlag and Swiss Architecture Museum, 2014, edited by the Architecture Research Unit, London and the Swiss Architecture Museum, Basel, 118 pages, 267 mm x 230mm, hardcover, English and German language. • Session 2014-15
Session 2014-15The Cass Session 2014–15 is the yearbook of the Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design. It is 416pp long, includes contributions from hundreds of tutors and students, and was produced in only a few months – from concept to artwork and print. I worked on this project together with Joseph Kohlmaier (Polimekanos) and Susanna Edwards. Together we created the creative and editorial concept. This was a major project. The book has weight; it is dense and flexible. The design is humble. It is a real workbook – the ‘screwfix catalogue’ of art education! The cover is a space to fill and adapt. The book encourages users to charge this space with whatever they want – drawings, doodles, notes, finger-prints.
  • ORKA "Leipzig" Album cover
ORKA "Leipzig" Album coverAlbum artwork and production of ORKA's "Leipzig" album. Every single album cover has been carefully screen printed and individually numbered. The paint used for the print is a black custom blend with a hint of silver created especially for this cover, which is made out of recycled eco-friendly materials. All illustrations and graphics are designed by me as well as I screen printed all 400 double sided covers. The music is cut to audiophile 180g 12" vinyl and is now being sold in Germany, Denmark, France and The Faroe Islands.
