Preparing documents to keep updated reports and documentations for each party, as well as preparing plans and documents for upcoming events/parties. Also,hosting the parties and maintaining a high level of service throughout the duration of the party. Making sure that everything happens to a precise schedule, that the delivery of the party is at the highest possible standard, and that above all, all guests thoroughly enjoy the experience.

  • I previously worked for the fairly new pub, The Telegraph, in Putney Heath as a bartender and within hospitality. My role within this establishment is varied, from bartender, to maintaining a good level of food and drink service to customers on the main floor as well as in the large beer garden. I am also trained for table service within the restaurant area, ensuring that exceptional service is mandatory and that each customer feels they have had the best possible experience. This is also relevant to the many events that are held on the grounds of the pub, varying from birthday parties, office functions, wakes, and wedding receptions, meaning an eye for detail is key when setting up/decorating the function rooms, as well as being able to work quickly but efficiently when under pressure during said functions. And finally another aspect of my job requirements is to liaise with customers over the telephone, answering any queries or questions they may have, as well as taking down information for possible bookings. This is I feel works most effectively with a positive attitude at all times, maintaining great customer service with the personality to really make a customer feel welcomed.

  • During the Summer of 2013 I volunteered in Costa Rica for six weeks to teach English to children of ages six to nine, to do this I felt it would benefit the children to learn through creative activities, using my drama background to integrate creative role play and games into the learning process, such as the children acting out certain emotions, activities, objects, etc to make the information they were learning easier to memorise. For the first three weeks of my school placement I worked as a teaching assistant with one specific teacher within a school environment, and for the final three weeks of my placement myself and one other volunteer ran our own community English class during the school holiday period, in which we were to create our own lesson plans, including activities, worksheets and interactive learning tasks to ensure the children were constantly engaged.
