Newcastle-based designer with a main focus on digital illustration, graphic design and motion graphics. I like exploring how I can communicate core ideas to the highest standard by working with different styles and crafting it with unique colour moods. Available to chat about new and exciting opportunities!
A passion project of mine is creating an ongoing collection of sketchnotes from inspirational talks during (the very extended) lockdown, and hopefully the sketchnotes themselves become an inspiration for others. For technical reasons, it's also a way to improve active listening and visually synthesising key messages!
While I'm freelancing, I'm exploring into more illustrative styles and finding what's cool and exciting. If I’m not designing, I’m either baking milk bread and chiffon cakes, or going out for early morning runs.

- Sketchnotes: Industry Leaders with Nikky Lyle – Maisie BensonSketchnotes from Nikky Lyle's Industry Leaders talk with Maisie Benson, founders of Think Food Bank and Happy To Help – two projects she's working on alongside her role at B&B. Something that I got from the talk was that when opportunities come, just take it, keep at it and see where it takes you. It's amazing to see that her passion projects were able to grow so organically and held so much purpose, becoming the motivation to keep doing it – especially in a time where it feels like many thing
- Sketchnotes: The Future of Creative EducationSketchnotes from today's talk about creative education by Dom Davenport and Ben Mottershead as part of the The Future of Creativity event by Mediatel and Glug. An interesting point that I definitely agree with (and saw while I was at uni) was the lack of collaboration in higher education. Maybe it was the course and uni I went to, but around about my second year, it hit me that our design courses felt very... isolated? Very much focused on our own work and our own projects, but really, when th
- Sketchnotes: How to start a business (& use The Dots to grow it!)I've never really been keen on starting a business, but with unintentionally freelancing during this pandemic, it's brought up a few ideas that do spark some interest for me! Attended yesterday's talk by Pip Jamieson for some insightful advice and encouragement – some key takeaways below! Sketchnoting (if that's a word?) is my way of taking notes most of the time when I want to avoid writing notes for the sake of it. It kinda helps me to consider what I'm writing which in turn helps me remember

- Kills 99.9% BacteriaA light-hearted story portraying a day in the life of a germophobic young man who is forced to accompany his girlfriend to the hospital. The journey there is fraught with all sorts of pathogenic threats but he finally makes it to the hospital only to find it a breeding ground beyond his worst imagination. This period of time is especially triggering for those with OCD as suddenly millions of people across the world are anxious at the mere thought of going to hospital. However for those with OCD
