Projects
- WARNA benchWARNA is a public seating structure made out of recycled plastics for Jakarta, Indonesia. As Indonesia's waste management is still handled very poorly, especially in Jakarta, one of the most populated cities in the world, we still don't have the advanced management like they do in other developed Asian countries. The idea is to reduce the plastic waste income by turning them to public seating. Hope you enjoy this project!
- WARNA 2.0WARNA 2.0 is a furniture series inspired by the WARNA bench. It still ahs the same concept, but as WARNA has got a colourful aesthetic, thie new furniture series embrace the colourfulness by adding more element of fun to it. WARNA 2.0 is a modular seat structure that connects like a puzzle piece.
- UnawareA group project to make something out of one everyday object. Unaware is a body armour made out of espresso cups from McDonald's. As one of the biggest leading companies, some people actually do consume McDonald's on the daily. The concept is that most of us are unaware of what's happening around us that we're too 'protected' by the goods and service from these giant companies that we come too easily manipulated.
- The Lazy CookerA kitchen product that embraces the rice cooker - works like a crock pot but faster cooking. Inspired by living in halls and student housing, observing how the average student lives and eats on the daily. I realised that students don't really dedicate their time for cooking, they want something easy with minimum cooking time, and health is not even reconsidered when eating. This Lazy Cooker has got an inbult chopping board that lets the user easily prepare their meal within minutes with the chop and drop mechanism. Simply chop all the ingredients needed, drop it to the cooker, and set the time. The Lazy Cooker also comes with a small cookbook.
- DETAK wristbandDETAK is a wristband that tracks the user's health by reading their heart rate and it also tells the local time. As the features of the watch so simple, everything is controlled in an app on the user's smartphone. When the heart rate reaches an abnormal point, the app will give a notification and will tell the users the best thing to do, any emergency numbers, as well as the nearest clinic or hospital. This wristband is made for South-East Asia. DETAK has got an interchangeable strap to encourage user's to travel around South-East Asia as each country has got their own unique traditional print and it becomes a personal collectible item. DETAK will be introduced to the public as they are purchasing an airline ticket to travel to any country within the South-East Asian region - so the whole thing becomes a packaged holiday, not just toprotect the traveller, but to increase and improve tourism in South-East Asia.
