I Directed, Presented and Produced a Travel video on Crete, Greece. In this role, I pitched content ideas and generated stories, communicated with international leads to source content and travelled to Crete and Santorini to film content. Also, I maintained the financial budgets for the travel video alongside commissioning and scoping the production process. During post-production, I edited the video using Adobe Premiere Pro.
As an Editor, I directed the content for the publication, wrote feature articles and created the magazine using InDesign, managed strategic plan preparation for advertising and editorial departments, and implemented a new creative vision and strategy for the publication. Also, maintained a high attention to detail in a deadline driven environment and complied with ethical codes of practice and legal guidelines.
The Global News Relay is a broadcast journalism project where 17 universities collaborate on a 4-hour-long news segment. I managed the project for Coventry University and supervised a team of ten including a deputy manager, administrator, videographer and seven reporters. Also, I mentored and motivated reporters to write fair yet captivating stories whilst establishing credibility, generated and maintained project timelines and financial budgets, and developed strong relationships with the local community and international journalists.
In this role, I formulated and executed online digital marketing initiatives on social media resulting in a 10% increase in engagement within one month whilst exceeding targets. Also, I organised and attended events such as receptions and exhibitions, and produced promotional marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers and e-newsletters. Moreover, reported on the performance of digital and marketing activity and worked with the sales team to maintain and update pricing lists.
