About me
Graduated from London College of Communication with First class honours degree in BA Sound Arts & Design. Studied BA Fashion & Textile Design and formally educated in fine arts, illustration and sculpture.
My work revolves around subconscious lucidity, dream-like imagery and fantastical nightmarish ideas that stem from meditative introspection and carry a emotional impact. I am heavily influenced by Surrealism in my featuring of elements that seem out of place and nonsensical.
I am interested in conceptual art, illustration, fashion design, video, sound, and literature. I want for my works to be telling, thought-provoking, lyrical and meaningful, though the meaning they might hold is obscure even to me.
In drawing I like intricately fine, organic lines that reflect influence of Albrecht Dürer, Gustave Doré and Alphonse Mucha. I usually use deep, rich colour tones typical along with sfumato technique. I enjoy the somewhat anatomical connotation some of my drawings may have along with a hallucinatory implication echoing Salvador Dalí and Hieronymus Bosch.
