Hiyaaa, I'm Lareb also go as Beena!
You're probably thinking how does Beena link to Lareb? Simple, it doesn't but it links to me as an individual. When I was young I was obsessed with the drink 'Ribena' and so my mother lovingly began calling me as 'Beena' and from then on it just stuck. Kinda like a pet name, haha.
I encountered media and it’s very different forms of practice at a very early age. Which then allowed me to indulge in all aspects from writing, directing, pre-production, post to visual content creation and social media. Having been introduced to media as a whole rather than a specific medium this allowed me to gain hands-on experience on a range of fields.
I must give credit to my BA degree; Contemporary Media Practice in which multidisciplinary and the use of multi-mediums was encouraged throughout all three years. "Live Projects: Curating Commissions and Work Experience" being the most memorable in which I was able to gain not only hand on experience with a start-up Production company - 'Particle 6 Productions' but curate my very own exhibition. Which brought to light/ showcased the range and work that CMP graduates/ current students create. I then went on to do this in the summer-time only much bigger at the Ambika P3- for our end of year degree show.
I've never shied away from attempting or learning something new, though my preference may be Production my interest and admiration for all other forms- I believe compliment my passion and dedication to not only being but creating the best.
As well as this after graduating, I began a full-time job as the Students' Union President for the University of Westminster which again allowed me to grow as an individual and a number of skills. It also opened me to a number of characteristics I never knew I had. From Chairing a Trustee Board to a number of committee meetings, I could go on but I'd love to talk about it over a cup of coffee or potential interview.

I assist the Producers (Integrated Live and Exec) on AV, digital, social and stills projects from ideation, through to delivery, helping to ensure requirements, deadlines and budgets are met. Assisting with ad-hoc projects, including pitches and creative brainstorms.
My role consists of the following:
Project planning, delivery & Shoot assistance
- Drafting timing plans and budgets, preparing production briefs, proofing work, tracking deadlines and ensuring deliveries are met, diary management. Taking responsibility for assigned projects of your own from start to finish.
- Assisting with the implementation of production processes, including developing templates and keeping project job bags up to date and consistent.
- Assisting the Producer / Production Manager with the setting up of shoots including talent searches, travel bookings.
Production paperwork & TV Admin
- Assisting with meeting agendas & notes, PPM documents, call sheets, ad fact sheets, artist contracts, music licences, child licences, project trackers etc.
- Managing the copy clearance and trafficking process of TV commercials, with the support and oversight of the Integrated Producers.
