I’m an English content & communication consultant and senior copywriter. I help clients and agencies create and improve their online and printed English content. Clients include IKEA, Volvo Cars, Mölnlycke Health Care, Nordic Choice Hotels, AlfaLaval and GinaTricot. My career began in marketing within the construction industry, but my life took a different turn when I fell in love and moved to Sweden in 1999, where I began working as a pharmaceutical market analyst and writer. My professional life slowly changed course after that, and I began to focus more and more on copywriting and transcreating, eventually becoming a full-time copywriter in 2004. Since then I have accumulated a large portfolio of work and gained extensive experience in how to perfect English language content for Swedish clients. And as our world gradually progresses towards complete digitalisation, so too has my job description changed. The balance has now shifted and clients are no longer telling me what to write about - they’ve begun asking me what they should be writing about and why. As a freelancer with a diverse client base, I have the advantage of being at the leading edge of content marketing. I get to see all the new developments and changes emerging in marketing and advertising, and witness how my clients in the various industries are interacting with their customers and peers. My duties include content creation, conceptual copywriting, content simplification, marketing and content strategy, brand management, communication development and channel/audience-centric adaptation. Basically I write stuff. But, more importantly, I find out what needs to be written, where and to whom, and then I figure out how to write it. Rather than the other way around.
