I work as a Shop-Floor Assistant; my role consists of assisting customers with any issues, stock & delivery management as well as taking on the role of Team Leader where I set out tasks for my colleagues to complete. This job has developed my ability to work individually and within a team. It has also greatly strengthened my capability of working to strict deadlines.
As part of this role I produced, directed and shot a film review show for YouTube. I created running orders, scripts, floor plans, research and put together a complete production folder.
As part of this role I came up with creative and innovative ideas to solve issues or gaps in the music industry market. I also designed a music event finder app called ‘Gig O’Clock’. As Head of Marketing I ensured to develop and utilise modern and creative promotional tactics to advertise the app.
Within this role I came up with a TV show idea and completed all the relevant pre- production and production documents such as script writing as well as filming a pilot episode.
I contacted and worked with local radio stations to promote the Oxjam Birmingham event. I also worked as A&R assisting with the running of the gig.
Assisted with the running of Global’s charity ‘Run For Home’ event that was broadcast live on radio and filmed. I was responsible for working with the competitors – instructing them on what they had to do; and helped with the general running of the event such as assisting organisers with various different tasks.
I have completed numerous placements at MTV, carrying out work and observing departments such as MTV News, Media Operations, Programming & Commissions, MTV Voices, MTV Insights, HR, Post-Production, EMA Production Team and with Marketing. Here I came up with new merchandising ideas for Geordie Shore which were then implemented by MTV.
As part of this role I helped plan segments for the show, wrote the script and carried out general runner duties.
I worked with a local rock band to promote and market them generally, their events and releases. I was responsible for creating and sending out press releases, photographing the band and promoting them out in the public and on social media.
