About me
Bachelor of Arts graduate with first class honours in and Festival Management from London South Bank University, whilst working as a Bar Supervisor at the O2 Academy Brixton, London.
My final year studies consisted of: Managing Music; Contemporary Curation and an Independent Project. I also wrote a 12,000 word dissertation, discussing tattooing as a high art form and its place in the British art institution.
With experience in working with an organisation at a festival, to creating my own festival, Shoreditch Spring Festival with a team in Cargo, which proved to be a hugely successful night, to enjoy them as a consumer. These experiences are what push me to complete my degree. My experience of creating a marketing plan for the university gallery, Borough Road Gallery, has made me reconsider my aim for my life after university, opening my eyes to the world of visual art and curation. I also completed an internship in my third year with art organisation, Sweet 'Art. I completed competitor research and sponsorship plea for upcoming September 2017. These placements have allowed me to experience the industry throughout my degree, unlike other recent graduates. I have been able to practice my knowledge and further it too. Placements and internships have furthered my knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
I have managerial experience in my job as Bar Supervisor, being about to lead a team as well as have fun within my team is what I love most about my job (obviously the gigs too!), I appreciate the push I had to gain my promotion from bar staff and thrive on the extra responsibility.
I am a practicing artist and enjoy expressing my creativity into everything I do and achieve. My interests in the alternative arts, cultures and experience are what I look for in an opportunity.
