About me
I am a senior marketer, specialising in marketing strategy, campaign delivery, communications and content for a wide range of organisations. As a lifelong learner, I’ve developed a few strings to my career bow that add value to the people I work with: * Trained marketer: I have a Mini MBA in Marketing and am CIM trained. In a world of hype about the next big thing in marketing, I’ve learned from the best teachers what works again and again. * Team leader: I’m a graduate of the BBC’s leadership programme and currently have a 90% full approval rating from my team of 12 for my leadership during Covid-19. I use the Radical Candor feedback framework because I know I could always do better. * Coach and mentor: People have the best answers within themselves and I’m skilled at asking the questions to get them there. I’m currently training to become an accredited coach, and work with my team as a manager coach and with outside professionals as a career mentor. I’m good at this because I care about people and have been described as ‘unshockable’. * Campaign strategist with commercial acumen: I look after full-cycle marketing from research to strategy to execution. At the RCM I set and managed commercial targets for events that saw income increase by 18% year-on-year. * Digital transformation: From ebooks to apps to digital project management tools, I have implemented digital transformation within teams for over a decade so have been able to pivot my team quickly to a new way of working over 2020 and created a market-leading digital concert series. * Data and analytics: My English literature degree and training at the Open Data Institute come in handy for being able to interpret and tell useful stories from data to track ROI. * Change management: People consistently tell me I’m at my best when leading on new initiatives and helping teams think beyond the status quo. I help organisations ask questions of themselves that push them forwards - quickly. * Adaptability: I’ve worked for established brands, startups and boutique agencies including BBC, Royal College of Music, Jesus College Oxford, Taylor & Francis, Hachette UK, Open Data Institute, Energy Systems Catapult and TEDxLondon.
