About me
For 20 years, Laura has brought her fresh and experimental approach to digital. Combining tech insights, a deep understanding of people and their behaviour, and good old fashioned storytelling, she has won numerous awards for her commercial work and been recognised globally as an innovator and industry leader. Laura scooped the New Media Age Greatest Individual Contribution to the Industry 2011, and was recently named the President of D&AD. She has recently been awarded an honorary doctorate for her services to graphic design. Drawing on her extensive knowledge of digitally-connected work and the cultural implications of digital society, Laura lectures around the world extensively. Leading dynamic workshops at major Universities and centres of excellence including Hyper Island, School of Communication Arts 2.0, NUA College of Fine Arts Sydney and the RCA, Laura is a champion for helping graduates get to grips with new forms of communication. Laura is the co-founder and Director of SheSays – an international volunteer organisation to encourage more women to take up digital creative careers. Now operating in 15 cities across the globe. Laura also founded Cannt Festival, a weeklong alternative to Cannes in London for the people who make the work but don’t get to go. And if all that wasn’t enough, Laura is also a trained taxidermist.

  • Mr President x She Says: This Equal Pay Day the ‘Pay Gap Pound’ proves women are being shortchanged
    Independent agency Mr President has collaborated with global creative network SheSays to launch ‘The Pay Gap Pound’, a pointed campaign for this year’s Equal Pay Day. Women in the UK earn an average of 82 pence for every pound earned by men, and the Pay Gap Pound is a coin that represents that gender pay gap. A run of 100 ‘Pay Gap Pound’ coins has been minted, on first inspection they look like beautifully crafted replicas of the one pound coin, but look closer and you’ll see that these coins
