A driven events professional with diverse experience including cultural events programming, live music & festival production, brand / sponsorship activation, event design and marketing. Seeking a challenging position with opportunities for continued professional development. I currently program events for two Private Members Clubs within the Soho House & Co portfolio, High road House in Chiswick and Babington House in Somerset. I seek out and curate a broad and diverse monthly program of events, to appeal and connect with different core member groups across these Houses.
Events Programming Manager - Members Events, High Road House and Babington House Responsibilities: - Curating, booking and executing a diverse monthly cultural events programme, in order to increase club attendance and revenue – over 30 events per month - Ensuring the programme covers the entire creative spectrum including; art, design, music, food, health and wellbeing, family, professional development – all targeted towards individuals in the creative industries - Negotiating booking fees and rates to bring events in on budget – making cross-house deals to maximise value for the company - Partial responsibility over the Events Co-ordinator, including ownership of their personal development plan - Working with various departments and sites including Marketing, Partnerships and Operations to ensure events are delivered successfully Achievements: High Road House: - Programmed a monthly live music night featuring artists such as Laura Welsh, HONNE and Lapsley, widening the house demographic to increase under-27 attendance - Introduced late night events to make use of the 2am licence and drive incremental F&B spend - Initiated a lunchtime series of business focused talks / workshops to increase club attendance during the day Babington House - Partnered with Luna Cinema to agree the first weekend outdoor cinema concept at Babington House for 200 plus members – due to take place Aug’15 - Responded to CEOs brief of adding benefit to members while limiting impact on hotel guests, by introducing ‘House Takeovers’ during low season, such as the Studio 54 Party which attracted London members, selling over 200 tickets and all hotel rooms
Events Programming Co-ordinator - All Six UK Houses Responsibilities: - Supporting the Events Programming team with day-to-day operational and administrative duties for over 120 events per month across all six houses - Co-ordinating the execution of each event, including sound checks, event/set times, equipment requirements and directly liaising with talent and their representatives (Agents, PRs, Management) - Ensuring all events are successfully marketed and communicated to the member community by working with the marketing and in house teams to produce monthly programme schedules (print & online) Achievements: - Curated a Health and Wellbeing program across the Houses – featuring events from Honestly Health, Plenish Juices, Madeleine Shaw, The Body Coach and Barrecore - Assisting with project management and event supervision on high-profile events at Shoreditch House, including the Ellie Goulding and Bombay Bicycle Club live rooftop shows - Took on responsibility for the programming and management of five UK Houses while the Events Programming Manager was on extended leave, leading to my promotion to Events Programming Manager
Responsibilities: - Ownership of all commercially driven events including creating client proposals, agreeing hire fees, recommending suppliers and managing client relationships to help drive repeat bookings - Dealing with all event administration and managing relationships with staff, volunteers and contractors to ensure the successful delivery of events Achievements: - Gained Bermuda National Trust as a regular client for a series of Evening Lecture Events - Implemented a third daily time slot for the Children’s Birthday Parties, guaranteeing that this revenue stream was operating at maximum capacity.
Responsibilities: - In charge of all logistical aspects such a booking travel & accommodation, diary management, itineraries, technical requirements and applying for TENs & licences. - Sole responsibility for marketing of events across online, social & traditional media
