About me
Hello My name is Laura Beth Mortemore and I am 23 years old. My main interests are dancing, singing and acting. I have been dancing since I was three years old and have been a member of various amateur dramatic and musical theatre groups over the years. I was then lucky enough to study musical theatre at the
Musical Theatre Academy in London from 2009-2011. Since then I have worked in various professional shows. Recently just got back after nine months of being a Principal Singer onboard Costa Cruises. Was an amazing experience and got to see some beautiful places.
I consider myself to be a hard-working, reliable and enthusiastic person. Since working from a bar to a front of house at The Dominion I have learnt how to work as part of a team, but have also had to be relied on to use my own initiative in a busy and often hectic work environment. My interpersonal skills have been enhanced during this time because of the many new people and members of the public that I have come into contact with.

I worked Front Of House but was on and off through acting jobs and left in March 2014 as I went on to perform on a ship for a year which I have just returned from.
My Duties were :
Welcoming and friendly Front of House environment for the customers as they arrive at the theatre. Provide exceptional customer service at all times
Sell programmes and drink at the bars and check audience tickets on the door also the understanding of the procedures for evacuating the building in an emergency. Also was assigned Head of a Bar called a Charge hand. Looking after my team. Making sure my team worked well and keep them motivated. Counted up the money at the end of the night and getting the right stock to stock up the bar for the next shift.
Helped in the Events Work. Making sure the work company or school event had a pleasant experience. Showing them to they rooms and offering teas and coffees.

The Basic Safety Training BST- STCW95 Course
I had to do this course to be able to do my job on the ship but was amazing experience being trained as a fire fighter and also be ready for any emergency at sea.
