Currently I am assisting the Store Manager with the overall organisation of the store, ensuring a smooth operation, to ultimately achieve the highest sales figures. Skills: Time-management is fundamental, especially on days when I’m on my own, I always endeavour to complete all tasks efficiently, however never jeopardising my high standards. Frequent liaisons with head office and my area manager have honed my communication skills. Daily interactions with clients have made me a charming and confident seller; I have earned the trust and respect of our regular clients and delivered such a service that they continue to come in and ask for me personally. The talent to build valued rapport with people is one I believe will help me in a role in the media.
Initially I acquired a job selling shisha at the reputable sunset bar Cafe Del Mar, the owner of the external company Shisha Angels soon recognised my potential and promoted me to the role of general manager. I was in charge of our accounts, recruiting and managing a host of female staff, keeping our contracted venues happy, and again ensuring high sales. Skills: Although two seasons on the infamous party isle do not necessarily sound strenuous, I worked fourteen hour shifts seven days a week. These summers ingrained the importance of going above and beyond, and taking tremendous pride in my work. Through negotiation, tact and mostly perseverance, I landed us an account at one of the most prestigious hotels on the island: Ushuaia Tower, and impressing both the clientele and the owners delivered me the utmost job satisfaction. I believe because of this, no work situation would have the power to intimidate me, and I am confident in my capabilities to represent a company and leave a lasting impression.
