I am a Fine Artist, currently situated in Bournemouth after recently graduating with a First Class Honours in Fine Art. My practice is an investigation into the existence and simply ‘being’ of my own body, utilizing this as both an instrument and an outcome in my work, amongst the acknowledgement that due to the irrefutable ownership, my body is distinctly unique as apposed to every other around her. My work usually takes form in installation rather than any other method, but I have always been open to exploring other methods of communicating ideas. My most recent work includes exhibiting at the Free Range Shows, curating and installing a group exhibition, which was successful enough to win the Free Range Award of 'The Best Collective.' I have also been fortunate enough to work as an Art Director for The Somerley Tea Party Festival, taking charge of the artistic design of the festival grounds.Locked Pro Plan feature
For this role, I assisted in the installation of Tom Stewarts piece in The Affordable Art Fair in London. My job was to help produce the work alongside the artist Tom Stewart, in the days before the exhibition opening, which was a very successful event, especially in terms of the impact the piece had across social media at the time, with the hashtag #playking. The piece was also featured in The Telegraph.
This role included planning, producing and installing the art required for The Somerley Tea Party. This job is ongoing as the festival happens on an annual basis, and the role allows me to work on my skills as an artist, whilst building the material, as well as executing organisational skills when it comes to installing and planning the layout of the festival.
