About me
Hi! I’m Lauryn - a19 year old photography student based in Norwich, England. I have been developing my skills since I was about 12 years old and have been actively studying photography for 5 years now. My current interests are based around social issues and still life and I love combining the two in my work. I hope to work with more portraiture in the future as I have missed it over the pandemic!

- The Y2K aesthetic meets the true 2000sIn this project, I wanted to explore the difference between how the 2000s have been perceived in the media in recent years with the Y2K aesthetic taking over social media such as TikTok and Instagram, and how the 2000s actually were based on my limited memory, old family photos and opinions from other people. You can see within my photos how I have created these two very contrasting "aesthetics" and started to have them seep into each other.

Although I was a volunteer retail assistant here, my manager knew of my background in photography and art and so I often put together commercial photography pieces for the brands Instagram page and also assisted with styling in the shop.
