About me

Instagram: @eventsbyleahnaomi I love to project manage events. I enjoy taking an idea and bringing it to life. From inception to completion I organise and deliver engaging, well organised and great events. I am a multi award winning*, senior events professional with over 10 years’ experience. A creative, corporate and digital events specialist who is focussed on delivering sustainable events. I have proven success in managing all aspects of multiple large scale, complex, five-star events both physically and virtually as well as heading up the strategic development of an events team. These events include but are not limited to conferences, press events, gala dinners, networking events, webinars, award shows across six of the world’s continents, in a variety of creatively sourced venues such as bookstores, iconic hotels, unusual spaces and palaces. Strong industry experience across various sectors and cultures having delivered events in over 35 countries, as well as having the ability to engage and influence senior clients and stakeholders. I also have a keen interest in mental health, sustainable practices, diversity and female empowerment. I love to write.

      • Financial Analysis – with a budget of more than £0.5 million, and our annual Conference bringing in 20% of the organisations’ overall revenue, developing a financial plan, clearly managing profit and loss, forecasting, budget recap, developing budgets and key performance indicators to meet the agreed strategy in liaison with the CEO. Skilled at generating financial analysis reports and accounting for variances between budgeted and actual profit and loss. Highlighting key learnings and implementing improvements for future events to increase profitability as well as finding new revenue streams for events. • Project/Event Management – managing all aspects of 40+ global events a year, such as Conferences, Forums, Webinars, Online Fairs, Gala Dinners, Roadshows, and Networking/Mixer events. Liaising with external suppliers to execute high quality and success. Negotiating agreements with suppliers to ensure value for money. Ensuring speakers are well briefed and prepared to provide effective presentations and material for the event. • Marketing – working closely on marketing and communications campaigns for events from start to finish. Working with external designers on the creation and development of event materials. Analysing marketing campaigns to make sure we are effectively communicating events. • Sales (from 2013 – 2019) – responsible for all sales activities of events. Enabled the sponsorship team to achieve record breaking revenues against the company’s flagship conference, through modifying programme design, innovating exhibition area, and increasing conference branding. • Innovation – developing, implementing and evaluating the range of new activities / initiatives in meeting with the association’s strategy, such as developing online and topical events.
