The BA/MA degree in Cultural Studies was concluded with the thesis “Stolen Children”, in which a compare and contrast approach was used to analyse the media representation of international child abduction by Muslim fathers. Research focused on cultural and political analysis, government policy and legal contexts, as well as personal accounts in articles, books, documentaries and private interviews.
