About me
I am a director of Calverts, a London based co-operative of graphic designers and printers. Founded in 1977 Calverts is a creative communications agency founded on the principles of social responsibility and sustainability. I provide estimating for all types of print and design work along with project management and account handling. I work with customers in the arts, business, government, education, publishing, third sector and wider creative community. I can help and advise on all issues relating to sustainable process and material choices, recycling and resource efficiency. I take a close interest in all aspects of the circular economy and cradle to cradle design and manufacturing. I am a member of IEMA, currently at Practitioner level. I also maintain an overview of Calverts overall vision as part of the strategic team and play an active role in Calverts marketing workgroup. I also currently manage Calverts partnership work with The East End Trades Guild (EETG), a campaign and support network for independent businesses based in East London, and the award winning Zero Emissions Network (ZEN) a tri-borough (Hackney, Islington and Tower Hamlets) project that helps businesses save money, reduce emissions and improve air quality across the city fringe area. Specialities: branding and communications strategy, design concepts and print formats, environmental management systems, ethical business and responsible procurement, large format media, printing and publishing, sustainable materials including recycled, FSC and creative papers.
