About me
Hello world! My name is Leila Rivière, a graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and Art Direction. I am multilingual and come from several cultures (English, French, Spanish, Asian…). I travelled quite a lot during my childhood. It is what helps me today to create. Let's say my mind is like a library of images, words, expressions, symbols and other odd things, actually. Ambitious and cheerful, curious and rigorous, crazy and weird, that pretty much sums me up. Let me also add that I'm a Graphic Design freak, gold lover, triangle addict and obsessed with male anatomy. Did I mention I like to cook?
Projects
  • Another Bauhaus
Another BauhausProject in which, after choosing a font, we have to revisit its shape and construction. The choice is based on the Bauhaus. Choosed concept : geometry in the geometry.
  • SO WARM!
SO WARM!Collection of 5 postcards A6 portrait, 5 capitals, for OMM Design (school project). The concept is based on the interpretation of the capital through typography and patterns. I wanted to talk about the capital without any photo. 3 colors only are used as to not overcome the playful game between patterns and letters. The illustration is the typography and the other way around. The choice «SO WARM!» is from my experience as a child of essentially living in warm, and extremelly colourful countries.
  • Gaume Jazz Festival
Gaume Jazz FestivalA3 posters proposed for the 31º Gaume Jazz Festival in France. I wanted to work with the concept of festivity and family, which are the promises of this festival. The interesting detail was to introduce the small bird, symbol of this festival in particular. It was fun of finding numerous way as to how to use it. The las poster (chosen one) with the soft colors as well as the numerous instruments reflects the universe of jazz.
  • Origama-Vision
Origama-VisionSeries of posters for the exhibition Origama-Vision in la Cité de la Mode et du Design at Paris. Two concecpts were decided and developed in this project. First, the origin. Not the historical one. But rather the creative one. As to know, the paper, the pattern, the first folds... the essence of origami. Then last one was the consctruction. The evolution of the origami, the steps, the possible errors... which is more interesting than the of course oustanding result. The chosen concept was the second one, which proved to be far more fun to explore and work with.
  • Fine Whisky
Fine WhiskyEdition label La Maison du Whisky have decided to launch a collection of 5 books around the culture of Whisky. You have for now five countries : Ireland, Japan, Scotland, USA, and France. A book build like a magazine, with a system of double pages to present the most notorious whisky of the country. Size : 190 x 240 mm
  • Théâtre du Pavé
Théâtre du PavéLaunch of the 2014/2015 programming of the Théâtre du Pavé. The main problem of the original program was the lack of hierarchy in the information, which disrupted the reading. So I focused on offering a clear reading. With of a refined style and a nearly geometrical organization of the information. I also wanted to obtain a balance in between both traditional and contemporary aspects of theater. Size : A5 ( closed) - Portrait - Font : free - Inks : duotone - Number of pages : free - Cover : flexible or rigid
