Lines is a short film about consent, we follow to characters after they go on a date and seeing how the night unfolds and how there’s different two views from the same night from different each character. The project Lines is in pre-production, at this stage of pre-production the writer is working on drafts of the script. I support the writer by reading each draft and giving notes that I feel could help elevate the script and story while still making sure within each draft and notes are still authentic to what the writer wants and the subject matter. Outside of reading drafts I am working on location options, while I have been working on locations, I constantly refer to the script making sure I gather the right details within each scene to make sure each location is aesthetically right for the film and scene. Once I have a selection of options for each scene for a location idea’s I have made sure that I have given options from the lower to the higher end of the budget and I will gather all the information in to excel and word documents, from there I will confirm the chosen location and book them. The next thing I will focus on for this particular project is confirming an intimacy coach which is really important to this project because there will be a scenes that have instance seen that could be hard for the actors to film or work on the subject matter is delicate we want to be very intentional with making sure our actors feel supported and safe in their environment while filming and with making sure we tell the story right and respectfully to the subject matter and who could be effected by it. an finding the put an intimacy coach is really important for these very particular reasons. That is the first stages this project is at this moment. Along with the intimacy coach I finding other talents to join the production crew, such as stylist one of the ideas that myself and the writer were talking about during our project consultation is to use colour theory throughout the film, by using colour to represent the character’s different view point which will then be taken to another level with the colour grading which will then add another layer to the story.

“I Only Want What’s Best For You” was an in-house production short film written by Daniel Bromfield who is a one of Studio 44 producer and writer. This Film is about a father and son’s relationship and how their relationship is tested due to the son’s sexuality and the fathers cultural up bringing with the father struggling to grasp the idea of his son future family plans. As the producer on this film, I was lead on production coordination and casting. Casting film had it’s challenges, as we faced a lot of re-scheduling filming dates due to having difficulties with casting the for the role of the son, we had a lot of interest to the breakdown call sheet, however once the request for a self-tape where made the tapes weren’t coming in at the same volume, so we had to do multiple casting callouts as we went from 156 talent suggestions and from that 156, we had 20 tapes in total for both characters. Once we finalised who the writer wanted for his film, then I sent over the role offer once that was confirmed cast, I arranged cast and crew zoom meet and greet, after doing the cast and crew meet and greet, I then went onto setting up the regular schedule of rehearsals for the cast and then one for the cast and crew for notes and a final production meeting and I also send out all vital information that is needed, such call sheets, scripts and shot-list. On the day of filming, I am first point of call for cast and crew, and making sure everyone has everything the need from equipment to providing any support to the talent a giving note to the for a scene.
