I am a reliable and intuitive individual with proven team-working skills in mostly retail and sales based jobs. I attended Edinburgh Napier University where I studied a BA in English & Film, whilst also working in retail for Next. In 2014 I moved to London and have progressed in my role whilst gaining more knowledge of the retail and fashion sectors, which I believe are the keys to my success. I believe that I am very sociable and have the ability to communicate easily with a variety of personalities, as well as employing the ability to adapt to any work environment as I love meeting new people and working in a team to achieve a common goal and meet targets.

  • My current job role is a retail management position within Next. I have progressed and been promoted from a Retail Sales Assistant to this senior position, on the Womenswear department, in a Grade 1 store in the North London region. I currently manage around 40 members of staff and promote sales through visual merchandising, constant use of range plans and bestsellers, and team motivation to provide outstanding customer service. I am a key holder and named contact for the store.

  • I worked as a salon receptionist where I was the first point of contact for clients and was required to make appointments over the phone and in person. I was also required to deal with general queries, interact with customers upon their arrival in the salon, as well as general housekeeping in the salon also.

  • I worked part-time in a call centre as a member of a large team for Vodafone. I dealt with customer queries and problems with their mobile phones, helping them to fix the problem that they were experiencing, through telephone conversations and using the computer systems supplied.

  • I worked in a large production team for ‘Friday Night With Jonathan Ross’, running errands for senior employees, preparing work stations and dressing rooms for every area of work within the company. Four days of the week were spent in an office doing administrative work and the other working day was in a television studio. This was a work experience placement that I took part in three times over the course of one year.
