About me
Hi there,   My name is Lewis Gilbert, I am a Content Producer, music enthusiast & an all-round creative individual constantly looking to grow my skill set. I am currently looking for full-time employment in a position that allows me to grow my skillset and gain valuable experiences within the creative industries. In May 2015, I completed my 3-year degree at Southampton Solent University, Graduating with First Class Honours in Television & Video Production BA (Hons). Since finishing University, I have created content for some really great companies; ranging from charities, Local Radio Stations, Events Management to larger companies such as EE, Carlsberg and Intel. Alongside this, I spent just over a year working for a golf club technology company (DST Golf) as their Digital Marketing Executive. My role was creating content for Social Media from time spent at golfing events and updating the website. This allowed me to really immerse myself in an unknown environment/sport, which proved my ability to be able to adapt and learn quickly.   I have directed, produced, written and edited a number of my own original films in the past. I was Production Manager for the production of the documentary, Claire’s Jigsaw - a film I was a part of creating for my Final Major Project at University. This process saw me responsible for organising travel, equipment hire, crowd-funding and shoot schedules. I found this hugely rewarding and we were all immensely proud of the end product. The film was entered into the Royal Television Society Awards (March 2016) and was shortlisted in the category of Best Student Documentary. In addition, we were nominated for Best Documentary at Aesthetica International Short Film Festival in York, making it into the 13% of films that were shortlisted.   I have always been an organised and optimistic person with a good sense of humour, along with a passion for success. I see working as a team to be a fundamental part of every-day-life and I massively enjoy working as a group and always encourage my colleagues and myself to aim high. Likewise, I am happy and confident working alone and I can get on with projects by myself using my proven initiative.

My roles at DST Golf consisted of creating digital content for our social media and updating aspects of the website. I was at the forefront of the R&D through to launch of the company’s newest ventures. I spent time travelling to many high-end Golf Clubs to help promote the company, working to get people to use the product at demo events and purchase their own. I also helped regularly with other office activities e.g. dispatching of goods.
