- FieldwalkArchaeologists are fascinated by the relics they encounter as it allows for a re-discovery of human’s past activity. Fieldwalk traces a route along a stretch of Christchurch headland, from a semi-derelict caravan site, to the Hengistbury Head nature reserve. The Hengistbury headland is home to a number of excavated sites, where archaeologists have found remnants of objects dating back to the bronze age. Based in Hedley Villas Park and the surrounding cobbled streets and gardens, the event features live music, across 3 different stages, spoken word, processional crafts, children's activities, delicious foods, and a procession - all organised, performed and prepared by the local community.
