About me
Hi, I'm Liam, just another copywriting cowpoke looking to make his mark on the open plains of Adland. So far I only have experience in B2B content creation, but that can all change with the right clientele. What I've learned about myself is that I have an almost obsessive tendency to find the function of things, even if it's at the cost of my own sanity. Somehow I've found a job that benefits from that, If you're suffering from a complex message that you can't seem to get across, then why not hire a guy that loves to wade through thickets of jargon to decipher the point. Who knows, might be good for business.
Projects
  • Bristol24/7 - Welcome to the University of the West of England
Bristol24/7 - Welcome to the University of the West of EnglandI was commissioned to write a small piece, without stating the obvious, welcoming 2021's new batch of students to UWE, from the perspective of a fellow alumni. Here's my original draft. The article itself can be seen at: https://www.bristol247.com/student/features-student/welcome-to-the-university-of-the-west-of-england/?fbclid=IwAR3aOhXW8vdYIVAoWClwPcRqy7exVQ_lv49wSRX3Em2HrY4HmiBck5UDYLk
  • What’s this ship I hear about climate change?
What’s this ship I hear about climate change? For this submission, we were briefed with tackling climate change by writing an article highlighting specific industries that produce the most carbon emissions. For my article, I wanted to blend a combination of both my love history as well as the shipping industry.
  • The Tao of Pooh Book Review
The Tao of Pooh Book ReviewThis submission was for a brief centred around the exploration of philosophy. We were given the option to review any book that discussed philosophical or theological ideas and give a broad explanation of how the author discussed these themes.
  • TeaCaddy.Com
TeaCaddy.ComThis was for an assignment I had in my first year copywriting module at University. The brief was to develop three pieces of content for a website launch specialising in loose leaf tea.
  • Shots "Selling 2021"
Shots "Selling 2021"Although at this point it doesn't need the help, I was approached by Shots to produce copy that could sell the idea of 2021 to the public as if it was a product. https://www.shots.net/news/view/selling-2021-young-creatives-rise-to-next-years-biggest-challenge
  • Simterest
SimterestMy shortlisted submission for the One Minute Brief's challenge. We were asked to develop a piece of copy that sold the benefits of an app that allows people to meet with like-minded individuals. Given that it allows people to mitigate small talk, I saw this as a major boon towards introverted people who find small talk to be off-putting.
