Stylistic Editing

Thread.com

Aug 2015
  • Thread is a fast-growing online menswear styling company. I work closely with the styling team in reviewing our clients' information and editing the content they receive. The role requires excellent communication and analytical skills, strong visual sense, knowledge of current trends as well as multitude of fashion brands, good command of specifically designed computer software.

2014

Studio & Web Assistant

Browns Fashion

Jul 2013 - Sep 2014
  • My duties as a Studio Assistant included: assisting stylists during photo shoots for both the online store and web editorial; cross-selling; composing styling tips to go along with the looks; attending trend and buying seasonal presentations; collaborating on development and management of social media strategies (particularly for Pinterest); understanding the Browns customer profile and matching it with the good knowledge of designer brands and season's trends. The position at the e-commerce department involved: working as part of the e-commerce team to provide the ultimate shopping experience for the Browns customer through the website; managing the online ordering process from gathering to quality checking to shipping the stock, attention to detail proved invaluable at every stage; working under high pressure during sales; contributing to providing a personalised customer care, especially to the customers in Russia, as the fluent Russian speaker in the team. Communication and team work skills were essential in the truly successful collaborative environment of the Browns web department. The experience of working at both the Studio and Web Assistant positions provided a holistic understanding of the e-commerce fashion business and all the various aspects involved in the process.

2011

Sales Associate

Gucci

Nov 2010 - May 2011
  • Gucci as a luxury brand, as well as Harrods (where I was allocated for the duration of my time at the company) are both known for impeccable discipline when it comes to customer service. As a sales associate, my duties included looking after the shop floor, the stock room, and the garments, making sure everything is organised and presentable at all times. Excellent communication skills were vital for this job, since I met a variety of customers from all over the world daily, in addition to communicating via e-mail and telephone. The fact that I am fluent in Russian was invaluable for this position. Team work skills were also developed further whilst working alongside the colleagues from both Women's Accessories and Women's Ready-to-Wear departments. Styling was inevitably part of the job as customers often seek advice on the best ways to wear the garments. Understanding the brand's aesthetic, visual focal points and inspiration behind each collection were paramount.
