About me
Hello, I am a hard-working, conscientious and out-going Graphic Design graduate living in Peckham! During my course I specialised in Illustration, with a desire to create beautiful things. My favourite materials and methods include watercolour, collage, and dot-work, and anything colour or abstract. I had a real passion for the research and development stage of projects. This is because I enjoy thorough research, brainstorming, and understanding the real root of the problem, in order to create a really effective solution. I also loved writing my dissertation, as not only do I enjoy writing full stop, I chose a subject I believe is important, relevant hugely interesting- exploring how those who identify as LGBT are represented in British Television between 1980-2015. I enjoyed communicating my own ideas, as well as analysing theories. After completion of a recent internship at DixonBaxi, where I worked closely with the Studio Manager, the New Business Manager, and the Marketing Executive, I have learnt a lot more about where I'd next like to take my career. I am very interested in Marketing, Research, Events, Copywriting, Social Media, and am experienced with general admin duties. I would like to explore these skills within a creative space- such as a design studio or a contemporary gallery environment. I would appreciate any opportunity of full time work, internships, or work experience. In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, performing, spending time with friends and family, going to art exhibitions, gigs, reading i-d magazine, and watching television- everything from cheesy reality to hard-hitting documentaries!
Projects
  • Space Illustration
Space IllustrationThis brief was entitled, 'Learn Something New Everyday', and the task was to illustrate 10 facts. I chose the subject matter of space, and explored the idea of using abstraction and colour to help make space beautiful and interesting. I used the concept of 'things are not all what they seem', and accompanied the illustrations with a poem, written by myself, to create an 'Illustrated Guide to The Stars.' The aim is to encourage the audience to look closer at subject matter, as it could lead one to discover something new and beautiful. The Guide comes with a choice of 3 posters and stickers upon purchase.

     -
    • Completed a fantastic internship at DixonBaxi as a part of their Intern Academy. DixonBaxi is a creative branding agency that has worked with some hugely prestigious media channels, such as Sony and Eurosport. My role included: general administration, preparing meeting rooms, booking couriers, greeting clients, help with recruitment of new interns, and supporting the Studio Manager with the over all maintenance of the studio, including ordering of new office supplies. I also sourced and liaised with photographers for an upcoming shoot. • Another important aspect of the role was to work closely with the New Business Manager; to connect with new business for the agency- this included being responsible for sending out their Brand Book all over the world. • Worked with the Marketing Executive to brainstorm ideas to improve their presence on social media. • Worked with the Producer of Dixon Baxi Evans, to assist with the marketing for their upcoming film, which will premier at the Tribeca Film Festival in April.
